Do Seek Their Meat From God (Title Analysis)

They crawl forth out of the darkness  Under the elvish decolourizing rays of that half-hidden moon Keen with hunger, alive with the eager passion of the chase They roar the most fearsome, menacing roar It is a cry of prayer to God for relief For they know their life, their soul, their whole and their helpless young is at the hand of him alone, and only he holds the key to their survival They roar. For they know: Do seek their meat from God

A tiny miracle

So something happened today that really surprised me and I just thought I should write this down, even if it is the smallest thing and may not be worthwhile mentioning. So today I just had two quizzes and a social tests all on the same day. I would call it my first heavy-duty day ever since the school started, especially when the social test was totally a surprise attack to my unsettled brain. "Yup! We're having a test next class~" Yetman has totally caught everyone off-guard. I thought I was definitely screwed for the test with only one day to study. What's more was that I also have chem and math quizzes on the same day. After one night of cramming and panicking, I still thought I was screwed because after reading the notes over and over again like what? 40 times? I wasn't able to register a thing into my mind. So I turned to God and prayed about it. I told God that I've already tried my best so I am just going to lay everything before him and rely on him to

Heavy heart

I guess I've been accumulating too much thoughts and feelings all these years all by myself that I started to lose the ability to communicate and speak out my true feelings. All the feelings just muddle up inside me, tangled up into countless knots. I search for words that may describe it, but at the end, backspace key is all I'm pressing. I want to tell the truth, but it's always at the last moment that I'd decided to swallow everything up again.

Self-Published Poem Project

Image
FIRST ATTEMPT of self-publishing my poems: Post poems around campus at various spots   Originally, I thought to post my poems at every bus stops since that's where people most likely to stop and read  while waiting for buses to come. I even thought of a way for people to give feedback after they read my poems so that I could prove there's actually someone out there who has seen my poem. And so I made a small envelope with some post-it notes in it so people could write down some feedback. I even attached a pen with the poem since I know people won't leave a message even if they want to without a pen.

Another Day, Another Destiny

In the open field we drift There is grief, there is bitterness We embrace the shattered pieces of our hearts We learn to let go, we learn to forgive We will continue our journey to another destiny The sun still rises from the darkness Shines its array of light into our hearts Giving us hope, giving us courage Though it cannot be everlasting We will await For another day To come.

Growth

Image
Unknown to the world, the world unknown to us Basked in the comfort and protection of our loving parents We were once the caterpillars Free of care Just munching up and absorbing Growing day by day Now, in a layer of cocoon We are enclosed; Surrounded by hardships That await us in the reality of the world Failure and success We mature through process of overcoming One day, we hope to break through That wall of hindrance To see the light, to see the future And transform into the butterfly that we dream to be.

Silent Gaze

A free verse poem inspired by Michael Ondaatje's "Sweet Like a Crow"  Your gaze is like a puzzle piece waiting to be solved like a secret door that leads to the unknown Like a never ending maze, like the Mariana Trench like a series of hieroglyphs like a question that holds no true answer like a vague response of neither “Yes” nor “No” but a “Maybe so” like a multiple choice questions with the choice “none of the above” like a five- star Sudoku puzzle, a game of charade like the moon blocked by curtain of thick clouds a veil of mist that covers the mountain morning fogs that blur the ray of sun like a story with a cliffhanger at the end Like a deep poem that I struggle to understand like someone acting pantomime, a silent movie like someone trying to conceal their feelings yet giving hints with indefinite meanings

Mischief

A free verse poem inspired by William Carlos Williams "This Is Just To Say" I have read aloud  the love poem that was  in her drawer and which  you were probably keeping it  a secret Forgive me  it was so tempting so sweet and so stupid

A Deceiving Hope

Free verse poem inspired by William Carlos Williams "The Red Wheelbarrow" So much depends Upon A deceiving  Hope Coated with white Lies Within one's Misconception

Young Thought-Shape Makers Face Persecution in Labrador By Jessica Hung, Utopian Reader According to a recent made contact with a young thought-shape maker from a distant land called Labrador, sources indicate that they are trying to escape pursuit from authorities of their own land. Persecuted by her own people, the young girl is currently travelling with two other thought-shape makers, one to be her older brother and the other his friend, though none possess think-pictures ability quite like hers, said Director Reed. Photo of Labrador- Photograph by Trail Canada “We have never before made contact at anything like this distance,” she said. “It is truly amazing that we have discovered this young girl, who can make stronger think-pictures than anybody at all.” According to the young girl, the Labrador authorities believed that the three young thought-shape makers are deviations, and had authorized a reward for the capture of the es
