Do Seek Their Meat From God (Title Analysis)
They crawl forth out of the darkness
Under the elvish decolourizing rays of that half-hidden moonKeen with hunger,
alive with the eager passion of the chase
They roar the most fearsome, menacing roar
It is a cry of prayer to God for relief
For they know
their life, their soul, their whole
and their helpless young
is at the hand of
him alone,
and only he holds the key to their survival
They roar.
For they know:
Do seek their meat from God
I enjoyed your poem; so glad you chose a poetic response instead. The echo of the title at the end is very effective
